The Online Therapy Services We’d Use
Doctor On Demand, too, is accredited by the American Telemedicine Association, and its therapist roster is filled only with psychologists (Amwell and MDLive both employ psychologists as well as other mental health professionals). But at $180 per 50-minute session, it’s the priciest service we tested (though like our other picks, Doctor On Demand accepts insurance). The site...

  • In Need of a Quality Therapy (that accepts Blue Cross)
Psychologist: Try Dr. On Demand app: https://doctorondemand.com/ This will give you access to a much wider breadth of psychologists outside of the Sac/CA area, and you can simply just pick a different person each time without having to go through the hassle of driving/etc. Source: 10 months ago
  • Where can I get an antibody blood titer test done?
For online dr appointments I’ve used https://doctorondemand.com several times with great results. $79. Source: 11 months ago
  • I was just fired. I really need few kind words right now.
Psychiatrist - You can refuse the treatment options they offer and ask for alternatives, or suggest your own. You should tell this psych, if you decide to keep them, that the side effects from the meds are too strong and you do not like them. Then ask to go back to your old treatment plan and be firm about it. If they go so far as to refuse to see you walk away, that is not a good physician. Source, I work in... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Alternatives to OneMedical?
Your insurance might still cover it https://doctorondemand.com I had good experience with them and it’s super quick. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Needing a mental health diagnosis asap
Doctor On Demand App is a telehealth provider that accepts Tricare and they treat anything from a cold to seeing a mental health professional. My experience with them so far has been amazing. They are quick, you can schedule an appointment or do a “walk in”, and you can do it anywhere. Hope this helps. Good luck! Source: over 1 year ago

  • Health Insurance USA
I have recently immigrated to the US. I need health insurance until I find a job which provides with one. I visited healthcare.gov and it was bit confusing as some of the plans were showing up a minimum of 500$/month (49 year old). Could someone advise me whether there are cheaper options. • How is everyone affording to live a life right now?
From the Billions spent on social services, from rental vouchers, to HEAP energy assistance, to SNAP food ebt benefits, to free internet service thru ACP, to free govt provided cells, to healthcare.gov, to earned income credits for working . That's how many are doing it. Information is a means to power! Source: 5 months ago
  • Retiring in Florida
Go to healthcare.gov and see if you qualify for insurance. Maximum out of pocket depends on the type of plan you pick and what it covers. If you don't qualify through healthcare.gov, you will need to buy insurance on your own which could be quite expensive. Source: 5 months ago
  • wanting to commit suicide due to my chest
You can still get it done without insurance, it's just really expensive. It will be thousands of dollars cheaper to get insurance for a year or so and have the surgery covered than to try and pay for it out of pocket, so it's worth maybe getting insurance. If you're in the USA, healthcare.gov is currently in its 2024 enrollment period so you can buy insurance right now for next year. Source: 5 months ago
