  • Managing printers in a AD Domain without Papercut - Best practices
We just started using a system called directprint.io. I find it's integrations 10X better than papercut. It is easier to manage and doesn't require a print server. Source: about 1 year ago

  • If you had to pick one of the two for a 1:1 Chromebook environment with some classroom and office PCs, which would you pick? I’ve already ruled out PaperCut and Printerlogic.
So far, I've demoed both directprint.io and Printix. I like the directprint.io interface and management options much better so far. I watched a demo video on setting up Printix and have a live demo with directprint.io this week. Their support has been great so far. Even as a demo user, I e-mailed them with a question, and they got back to me within a few hours. They're based in the UK so it's a 5 hour time... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Printerlogic for print management
We currently have PaperCut, but I'd like to move away from on-prem printer management as well as print servers. I'm currently considering directprint.io which supports Windows, Mac and Chrome through Google authentication and is recommended/resold by Amplified IT since we're 1:1 Chromebook. • Effective Test Strategies for Testing Front-end Applications using LaunchDarkly Feature Flags and Cypress. Part2: testing
The proper solution to tests sharing state would be randomization. Unless we are locked to real hardware - even then there is virtualization - we can randomize anything. We saw an example of this in the blog post about email testing , under the section Achieving Stateless tests with unique emails. • Test emails effortlessly with Cypress, Mailosaur and cy-spok
There are plenty of email testing solutions available, and combinations of test frameworks that integrate with them. For the code snippets and working examples, we will be using Cypress and Mailosaur, but the ideas should generally apply to any tuple of email services and test automation frameworks. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • Ask HN: Twilio blocked our account and with it hundreds of our customers
Somewhat related anecdote. Whilst we didn't get cut off, we found a huge drop-off in time to receive, and the quality of, support from our live chat/support messaging provider. Having been a customer since our launch [1], and very early after theirs, it has been really sad and frustrating to see that friendly distrupter energy zap out of the service. I get why businesses go through that changes like this during... - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
