I've used Deta to host both individual microservices and fullstack apps, deploy straight from CLI or CI/CD via GitHub Actions, worth checking out https://deta.space/ - Also, it's free. Source: 11 months ago
If you struggle to host your Discord bot then consider making it serverless, so it can run for FREE and be ALWAYS ONLINE on deta.space. You'd have to rewrite your code to use a serverless Discord API wrapper library like discohook (Python) though, BUT it will be worth it. Even if you don't want to host it on Deta specifically, making your bot serverless will make it cheaper to run anywhere else. Source: 12 months ago

Packetriot has been operating for five years and the first few years was all spent on performance and stability of the core networking services. As the software and network matured, I spent more time on the... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
Some forums suggest this as an alternative. Looks like there's a free tier to play with. This may be much simpler than running your own VPS (although learning how to do this gives you a hell of a lot of power in terms of doing other things you might want to do). Source: 5 months ago
I use https://packetriot.com/ to set up tunnels to the ports I want to be opened. Pretty cheap and doesn't require a full-fledged VPN. You do however need to have a client program running. Source: over 1 year ago
The only way to do it is to create a tunnel from your network to a 3rd party and access your network from there. One service I came across is located at https://packetriot.com. Source: almost 2 years ago
