I would like to reduce the screen brightness of the lcd backlight further than what I currently am able to do (working at night and saving battery/my eyes). I tried this but it is just a filter, which is bad for colors and sometimes the filter is not applied to certain system ui elements, therefore blinding you. Source: about 1 year ago

I personally swear by Optimage. Although its primary function is images, it also does video. It is fast and it has a very generous free offering (24 files per day). It doesn't have many options, but to me, that's a feature, not a bug. Source: over 2 years ago
