Artfinder.com is interesting, although it seems they deal mostly in contemporary artists. Check out etsy as well--lots of good handmade items there. On another note, I was in Austria recently and got a couple hand made statues from wood in Salzburg. Sorry I don't have a name but you can google for hand made statues or icons. Look at artfinder.com, go to the galleries in your area. Find stuff like yours. Look into the psychology of how colors make us feel as well as the symbolism of color i.e. yellow=fever or cowardice, red=blood/passion, green=growth, money. Source: about 2 years ago
