While it still is far from perfect, if you want more structured debates then debateart.com is a good option from what I can tell. It seems to be a clone of debate.org with a bunch of people that used to be members there but have moved since the site started to collapse (due to bugs, poor moderation, etc.). Commento (https://commento.io/ ) is a nice service that I've used with static site generators like Hugo -- very easy to add to a project - no real coding required to include it, and people can add comments to your blog etc... Honest straightforward pricing model for their SASS offering, and it's open source, so you can host it yourself if you have a server. Source: about 1 year ago
