We opened my son up a checking account at a local bank branch a few weeks ago to be able to deposit money into it to transfer to Wealthfront. Surprised nobody’s mentioned Current (https://current.com/). Their savings accounts earn 4% APY on a maximum of $6,000 (split over 3 $2,000 “pods”).
