I don't know about Cuberite server. I'd be worried about gamplay, you would also need a proxy for supporting newer versions, but that wouldn't be practical either. Source: almost 2 years ago

Wondering if anyone else has a private server using xgamingserver, there's a Mods tab in the user settings but when I install mods on the server and reset it, the mods dont seem to be taking effect once the server is live again. Source: almost 2 years ago
