You can do it. Go for it. Just be ready to do what everyone else isn’t willing to do by working hard consistently to that goal. Are you familiar with GAAP? Typically that’s something you cover in Acct 1&2 in a business course and unless you want to end up bankrupt waiting 10 years for that to come off your personal record then you’ll need to seriously consider hiring professionals. I built Mochi [0] from the ground up to be local first. The architecture is built around pouchdb for the local database which syncs to and from a remote couchdb database. It's been a challenge to implement and in hindsight I wonder if it was even worth it. Unfortunately neither of these technologies are very widely used any more (if they ever were).
