Ranch is a pretty well optimized and battle hardened tcp acceptor. It powers the Cowboy/Phoenix server which scales to extreme level of concurrency and low latency. You're not in the way, and I doubt any of the older timers are thinking that. Use an app called sleepytime calculator. The trick is waking up between increments of 1 and a half hours to avoid grogginess. https://wakeupti.me/ is a good website for that.
