Ranch is a pretty well optimized and battle hardened tcp acceptor. It powers the Cowboy/Phoenix server which scales to extreme level of concurrency and low latency. I have a Tonal machine (tonal.com), which is essentially a cable machine that hangs on the wall. Tonal install requirements are really specific and they send you all the hardware to use, which are rated for 2x4 studs that are floor to ceiling. I have 2x3 metal studs and can't use the hardware they sent, so I'm thinking about getting shorter screws and installing this on my own. It's going to be about 3/4" inches... Source: 6 months ago
