I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but I got around Transmission automation by installing Sick Beard and CouchPotato, which downloads TV and Movies into different folders automatically. Making links in Transmission may be redundant. Source: about 3 years ago

I know of readarr which looks for books for you and you can use some other service to sync it to your phone and other devices as long as they run android (idk about kindle syncing if that's something you're looking for). Source: over 1 year ago
