  • What's your most used emotion? Mine's πŸ‘
I use this website which I keep pinned to my taskbar so I can have easy access to emjois. I probably use the traditional πŸ™‚ most often. I like this πŸ˜’ one though. And one I've assigned context to is πŸ™ because it looks how I feel when I'm unsure about something because to me it looks like the thought process of "Hm, I don't know. Maybe? Yeah okay!". • Emoji display/render changed! Possible to change back?
Emojis in Chrome (and other browsers too actually) used to display the true classic Segoe UI Emoji font (ex: if I go to getemoji.com, these used to display the same emojis as Word; copy paste from that site to Word looked the same), but just a couple months ago something changed. Now it's rendering different versions of these emojis. I've ruled out an extension. Chrome is up to date. Windows 10. Whats interesting... Source: 10 months ago

  • How to Build a Semantic Search Engine for Emojis
Along with alphanumeric characters, African click sounds, mathematical and geometric symbols, dingbats, and computer control sequences, emojis can be represented as Unicode characters, making them computer-readable. Unlike alphanumeric characters and other symbols, however, emojis are maintained by the Unicode Consortium. The consortium solicits proposals for new emojis, and regularly selects which emojis will be... - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
  • How does localeCompare work?
ASCII isn't the only encoding method. You're looking at unicode characters, which can be expressed as numbers just like ASCII characters based on the encoding system . More to your point, if you were already in the mozilla documentation, why didn't you just read their explanation of how it's handled? Source: 11 months ago

They are simply unicode characters. Https://home.unicode.org/ Try it in VS Code. Yes, an Emoji is valid in JS. Different browsers render the emojis differently though. Source: 11 months ago
  • And they’re quite reliable too
When you refer to something as an β€œEmoji” you indicate that they’re apart of the Unicode language. What Reddit is doing is not considered apart of unicode therefore not technically an β€œEmoji”, instead it’s just a plain old image used in text format. Source: over 1 year ago
