  • Clueless with questions...
If you decide you need an appraiser, you can use the Appraisal Institute's "Find An Appraiser" feature on their website (www.appraisalinstitute.org). Other areas to look include checkbook.org, Angie's List, and even Yelp. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What is the best way to find an appraiser? Looking for one in St.Louis for ongoing valuations work.
You can also check out appraisers.com, angi.com, checkbook.org, and yelp.com. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Which health insurance for me?
Would you mind looking at checkbook.org for my wife and I? We're leaning towards either Kaiser Permanente - Mid-Atlantic States - Standard (E3), Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan - Basic (11), or Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan - FEP Blue Focus (13), but my office doesn't give me access to checkbook.org, so they want a fee to run the information. We're in northern Virginia, moving... Source: about 2 years ago
  • 2022 FEHB HSAs - Investment Options
Thank you. Very helpful. Was just today looking into which FEHB HDHP HSA family coverage options were available in the D.C. area. I was using checkbook.org to search (nice tool). Source: over 2 years ago
  • I’m going through onboarding and feeling confused and overwhelmed
The insurance plans are definitely overwhelming. A checkbook.org subscription was definitely worth it, we ended up finding a plan that meets my family's specific needs that I probably would have overlooked because it's rarely mentioned here, not a name I would have known, and hasn't invested a lot on website design. Some agencies offer a free subscription. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Enraged and livid. Would like the opinion of some calmer minds.
You shouldn't have paid them in the first place and just called the cops to say they were trespassing and destroying your property. Dispute the charge. Leave all the reviews you want. I usually start with angi.com and personal recommendations from neighbors and friends for this kind of thing. It seems like any kind of yard work is a crap shoot and, unless you've got a landscape architect running things, most yard... Source: about 1 year ago
  • How can I get a webpage's code and edit it?
If you could just copy and paste their code, change a logo and some icons, and end up with a functioning angi.com then the web as we know it would be broken. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Any general contractors here? Considering buying homes that need some remodeling and don't want to get screwed.
One good option to find out real world pricing in this area is go to angi.com (angie's list) and browse their offers/coupons for the various stuff you'd want done. They probably have everything from bathrooms, flooring, kitchen. Several of the contractors will post offer pricing for specific jobs based on sq. footage. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Hanging a Flat Screen TV
I used angi.com for a similar task but didn't love it. You have to pay a membership fee for a year, but for the task I requested, it was cheaper bc you save money as a member. Overall my rating is 'meh' but good if you're in a pinch to get it done fast. Source: almost 2 years ago
