  If you want to take a slightly longer, but imo easier path. I went from learning coding using https://codegym.cc/ to being a Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (current) and will eventually transition to BE Dev on my company's dime: At the last 3 companies I've been a QA Engineer at, there's always been a pipeline from QA -> Dev that the company is willing to work with you on. • Helping a young coder

  -For JavaScript, my advice would be to introduce coding games. That way it's more fun and the environment would be set up better (less worrying about deep technical errors). The two games that come to mind are Bitburner (free) and Screeps (free offline/paid online), though they both have their own learning curves and require actual coding; so for a 9 year old YMMV greatly.
