My recommendation is to sign up for codecademy.com and create an account to learn SQL over there. Also use sqlbolt.com because both of these websites provide detailed interactive SQL tutorials that should help you write it. FPGA's, PCB design, and autorouting are the extent of my non-native engineering applications and I don't play too many games, but I would say that BG3 works really well and they even have a native port :) and Civ VI works well.
