  I am using a free email server (cock.li) and it is kind of slow. The config file works to compose and send messages from within the program. When I send a message from the command line, however, I get an "alarm clock" message, and the message doesn't send. I have found that "alarm clock" is a timeout, and I know this server is slow.   Alternatively if you want to keep what you have I wouldn't recommend using the SoGO even though it's the nicest and most modern option.
