CleanTalk is a great plugin that's only about $12 per year, and I've read some people on this sub say that they use it along with Antispam Bee, which is free. It uses Clean Talk's servers to do all the spam detection, so it won't slow down your site. I use Twitter. The Tweetdeck website is perfect for this. You can make lists for the topics of your choice and put whatever accounts you want into those lists. You never see a single dumb user comment unless you specifically want to. Source: 12 months ago
