Best SolidWorks rendering software [2020 Guide]
Thea Render is one of the ideal software for rendering, though it’s not too popular but it does the job well. The major feature is the speed of rendering, this software is good to use when you are on a tight schedule. Although it may not give you the same rendering quality as other software mentioned above, Rhea Render still give decent rendering quality.

  • Is there a way to force physical renderer to use GPU?
That being said - Centileo is a GPU render engine with C4D plugin integration that's free while it's in development, so you can try it out if you like. The only drawback is that you wont get a tonne of tutorials on it, so you'll probably have to figure a lot out on your own or watch other tutorials and do your own translations to it. Also, as it's in development, I would expect it to have some bugs. Source: 12 months ago
  • Re-inventing the tooling pipeline with Open Source homebrew for my studio.
Hum, if I wanted to render animated stuff, I'd definitely try Unreal (with nanite can basically ingest raw sculpts) also they seem pretty fuzzy about the licensing as a 'render engine', basically you can just use it, prman is not exactly cheap... Or maybe hook up with some independent types... Like https://centileo.com, for collaborations... Source: over 1 year ago
