What's a really niche tool you use that you can't live without?
Ccextractor -- a fairly simple utility to extract closed captions from various MPEG format files into SRT subtitles. MakeMKV can be configured to use it when ripping DVDs (if they have closed captions). Source: 12 months ago
Closed captioning is stripped from the file when it is prepared for broadcast television.

Looking for group conversations with transcriptions
This is more of a question than an answer, but has anyone used an online audio transcription site to create an English transcription directly from a Spanish language audio podcast MP3 file? I was just looking into this this morning, and seems like there are some services out there that will do this, either for free for small files (10 min) or at what seems like a reasonable price.
