  • JavaScript is not single-threaded
You forgot to mention (Web)Workers. This is explicit creation, management, and communication with additional threads within JavaScript. What's more, they've been around in JavaScript longer than the V8 engine has even existed! https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Web_Workers_API/Using_web_workers https://caniuse.com/?search=webworkers. - Source: Hacker News / 14 days ago

On my M1 MBP, Safari 17.4.1, it straight up doesn't work. Can I Use does say Safari only support WebGPU on TP and behind a flag: https://caniuse.com/?search=webgpu Perhaps a Safari TP bug? I'd appreciate some browser version info so I can dig deeper. - Source: Hacker News / 18 days ago
  • Tree-shaking, the horticulturally misguided algorithm
Do you happen to know where can I check out the cutoff version for each browser? https://caniuse.com/?search=wasm doesn't have it (or other things like WasmGC for that matter). - Source: Hacker News / 21 days ago

  • Basic question (I think 😅) this is happening for some reason. Any idea how I can solve it? This is for an email, I’ve these 2 buttons on different sections with enough vertical space between the 2. On gmail it shows up okay but on other mail services it shows up like this 😭. I appreciate your help!
Email clients are terrible at html, you could try using litmus.com (there's a free trial) that will show you what it looks like in a huge range of clients. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How would you go about creating something like litmus.com or emailonacid.com
Hey guys I want to start a new project but I have no clue as to where to start, I want to create something like litmus.com where each user gets an email and then when you send an email to that email account you can see your email on multiple clients but I can't figure out.
