  • Tools that keep me productive
I don't have a fancy camera for streaming. I used to use my Logitech webcam, which was fine, but when I finally got a decent iPhone, I was like the camera on this is amazing! So I decided to use that for live streaming. Camo makes it possible to do that, and it has plenty of niceties like zooming, watermarks, filters, etc. - Source: dev.to / 10 days ago
  • Android 14 adds support for using your smartphone as a webcam
I've been using the Camo app for over a year. Works excellent. Even supports viewing the camera over wifi. No cable necessary. It is free for a basic account. Find it here: https://reincubate.com/camo/. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago

  • Use iOS Teams for camera only while using desktop Teams for voice and everything else.
Maybe try Reincubate Camo, a software to use the iPhone as camera which is independent of Apple's continuity. I used it on windows when working at home in 2020 and 2021 during pandemic, and it had quite good video quality superior to built in cam of my laptop. They have it also for MacOS. Maybe it's compatible with your MacBook Pro. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Hey team, I am STRUGGLING to find a webcam for my m2 mini
I know you said you don’t want to use continuity camera but if you had an iPad or spare phone (doesn’t need to have a sim), you could use Camo. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Inserting a Live Video into Expo React Native App
I want to access livestream.com and pull some live videos from there to stream directly in my app. However, the source uri for the videos on the site do not end in .mp4 as they are live. How am I able to embed a stream from the website onto my expo app? Do I need to access their API even when I am making no requests to write to the service? • Livestream (Vimeo) is being sunset? (Also, cannot get the livestream video player to serve anything but the highest quality video on small screens, unless bandwidth is a limitation)
Our Livestream account ran over on bandwidth and while I was looking into ways to reduce usage, I tested downloading videos at different screen widths and noticed that when watching on livestream.com, the highest quality stream is always used, regardless of the window size.
