That's why I built buyforlife.com to tackle these issues. The goal was to build a sort of "Productpedia", where people can search and filter through the most durable products of the world, constantly updated and maintained by the community. They may be in Berlin but they'll probably be into hiring someone young and passionate for the cause like you are, or keeping you on record.
