Well, OVH lost around 200 racks on a fire with no backups, which amounts probably for some petabytes of data from LOTS of people, and people were left with pretty much nothing. In fact, if you go to directupdate.net, you will probably see how they got left with their last local backup.....from ten years ago. Source: about 3 years ago
