If youre going to be staying less 6 months or so, I would recommend something like splitspot or bungalow.com. They both have short term leases, but SplitSpot has much lower security deposits. Whatever safe bed you can find at this point. You've left it too late to be picky and it's looking like it's going to be the start of the the busiest, boomiest tourist season here in Italy ever. Expect to have to stay very, very, very far from city centers and transit connections or to pay $400+/night on a place.
