While the API itself is lacking some of what I'd consider "core" functionality (especially their new Bookings API), the squareup api is actually really nice to work with. Their documentation experience / code playground is incredible. it's super empathetic to the developer experience and they clearly place a ton of value in that. also, echoing everyone else here that stripe and twilio have some bangin' apis and docs. A really bizarre thing happened to me yesterday. Safari stopped loading gumroad's product editor. The website works correctly, however whenever I try to edit product it only displays background color and a horizontal line. It's been working for months without any issues until yesterday.
