So when I said "window manager based Linux" I was mostly referring to the stereotypes of the Linux window manager; which 1 person not even having a mouse; staring apps; moving windows doing everything with their keyboard. About tabs, since Windows 7 I use tabs in the file explorer thanks to Qttabbar. Qttabbar tabs are customizable and more useful than native tabs. I had to use vivetool to permanently disable native tabs, and instead I use Qttabbar tabs. You can download tab skins within Qttabbar or you can create your own tabs.
