  • Working on a Märzen for my first from scratch Brew.
One thing I'd recommend is using some brewing software. I've played around with Brewfather as a web app, though I personally use the BeerSmith desktop application. Its visuals haven't exactly aged well, but it does exactly what I need - I can plan recipes (watching OG automatically shift as I put in different grains, etc), record brewing data, and use it as a catalog of past recipes easily. • What would you like to see in a mead website?
Something like https://brewfather.app/ but with mead nutrition and balancing in mind. It's nice to get calculated acid and mouthfeel, if some considerations like that could be applied to fruit additions or yeast choice it would be great for creating new recipes. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Story time… How did YOU get into brewing? What has your progression been? Moving from recipe kits to recipes and sourcing my own ingredients… how to?
For recipe apps, I use Brewfather. It has a really nice modern UI and workflow, behaves identically between mobile and desktop (including syncing), and has a lot of recipe-building calculators and features. I pay for the premium version, not sure how well the basic works but it's been 100% worth it. Source: over 2 years ago
  • SMaSH Amber Ale Recipe Wanted
There are a few popular ones. Brewfather, BeerSmith, or Brewer's Friend are all good options. Source: over 2 years ago

  • It’s my 11 year old son’s birthday this month. All he has asked for, for months, is a cat. I asked him if there would be anything he would be willing to accept as a substitute..
Check out teabot! Granted it's for offices but it does make basically unlimited tea https://teabot.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
