This is essentially a watered down version of the "MVC" architecture. I use http lib of node for server and requests, cheerio for webscraping and Sendinblue for sending the emails and mongodb (atlas) for storing all of the data. For what it's worth you can implement a C compiler in under 10kLOC. The chibi C compiler is only a few thousand lines [1].
