Amazon's kids book box subscription ending
I got an email this morning from Amazon saying they are canceling the kids book box service. I am bummed because we have been using the service since LO was teeny tiny and it was awesome to be able to count on new books showing up every 2 months. I'm teaching cs to middle school students and I need a hand!
Maybe try Bitsbox? It teaches Javascript by making games. They can share the games with their friends, and it also leaves a lot of room for them to modify the games using what they learned. It teaches a lot of programming skills that are useful later. There is also Google's CS First, that's free and has a lot of different projects.
