  My company instituted Bonusly and honestly its been great to have a system similar to what you are talking about. A way to give people 5-10 credits of recognition publicly so that it can add up to a $10 gift card after 10-20 "gifts" so far has been a great way to encourage each other to be helpful.   With discord, you should checkout the mod-versions. I use vesktop/vencord - https://vencord.dev/ - which supports plugins/themes natively. I was mostly using this cause discord video/audio support in linux is crap and this works better. Source: 6 months ago
