My company instituted Bonusly and honestly its been great to have a system similar to what you are talking about. A way to give people 5-10 credits of recognition publicly so that it can add up to a $10 gift card after 10-20 "gifts" so far has been a great way to encourage each other to be helpful. I tried using duckduckgo by typing "Something so profoundly fucked up between the inverse ratio of shrinking middle class and ever increasing aggression of advertisement site:tumblr.com".
