A way to give people 5-10 credits of recognition publicly so that it can add up to a $10 gift card after 10-20 "gifts" so far has been a great way to encourage each other to be helpful.   Maybe you could create an org chart for your team so that you can see their names and pictures and visualize where each of them sits in your company's hierarchy? I've tried creating org charts on Organimi and I find it really useful and easy to use.
