My company instituted Bonusly and honestly its been great to have a system similar to what you are talking about. A way to give people 5-10 credits of recognition publicly so that it can add up to a $10 gift card after 10-20 "gifts" so far has been a great way to encourage each other to be helpful. Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something.
