  My company instituted Bonusly and honestly its been great to have a system similar to what you are talking about. A way to give people 5-10 credits of recognition publicly so that it can add up to a $10 gift card after 10-20 "gifts" so far has been a great way to encourage each other to be helpful.   I have been using MATE for a couple of years now on an Intel Mac mini and it works... mostly. Things I am not a fan of: 1) Snap packages.
