  • BMC platform help
I would typically adjust the address in the connection component to either be static "https://bmc.com" or adjust it to be "{PSMRemoteMachine}" and prompt the user for the address (depending if you have multiple target addresses or not). Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Python+Spark Good beginner learning environment to be ready for very distributed computation?
I interpreted the bmc.com article as saying that "mysparksession.blablabla," when run from Jupyter notebook, will not run in distributed mode--do you agree that that's what they mean? Whether that's what they mean or not, do you think it's correct? Source: about 3 years ago
  • Python+Spark Good beginner learning environment to be ready for very distributed computation?
Thanks! I'm glad to hear that the bmc.com article might be bogus. If I understand that article correctly, it predicts that the Spark job you ran would be executed only on the driver node (or at least that it would have, if it were running on the type of Spark cluster that the writers imagine you using). Do you agree with that? Source: about 3 years ago

  • Open Source Online Data Storage that isn't Google Drive
So guys, just to add, the issue with opendesktop.org was that it was telling me that 'an error has occured' will I was importing my tarz. Source: almost 1 year ago
  • The Ultimate Battle: KDE vs GNOME ⚔️
Since there is not a definition for how to implement systray in opendesktop.org Gnome has been reluctant to implement an "incomplete" version. You can still include systray by adding an extension but KDE is better in that regard. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Change Nautilus theme PopOS
I've been exploring different gnome themes on POP. However whenever I change a theme, Nautilus seems to be unaffected. The preview images of the themes on opendesktop.org seem to have their file browser changed as well. Are they using a different file browser? Source: about 2 years ago
  • I have PopOS, but it does not serve my needs, Zorin I've tried and LOVE, but I want something lighter, like Xubuntu.
I use Lubuntu on a 1st gen i3 4GB DDR3 laptop, so you'll do more than fine. There are some nice themes at opendesktop.org for a better experience (just don't expect any miracles). Source: about 2 years ago
  • Icon
Have you checked on opendesktop.org? If u find it, u can set it as default by copying the icon folder to usr/share/icons. Source: over 2 years ago
