Blue Iris Reviews

  1. Terrible Experience

I have tried this software and it was the worst experience I have had. First, I had so much trouble connecting up my IP Cameras. I would error messages multiple times and the application kept crashing. Once I finally got everything up and running, I would periodically loose connection to my cameras. I had contacted customer support regarding my issues and they would never respond. There are many other better products than Blue Iris.

Frigate https://frigate.video/ and ZoneMinder https://zoneminder.com/ come to mind. Blue Iris https://blueirissoftware.com/ is not open source but is what I prefer to use for my PoE systems ($80/yr). Source: 6 months ago
  • unable to activate-- blueirissoftware.com down?
I've had BI running for years-- something went haywire with my setup this morning and now I need to re-activate my license. However, I'm unable to do so within BI, and it appears that blueirissoftware.com is down. Anyone else having issues or know what's going on? Source: 11 months ago

  • Looking for an alternative
Could look into a diy solution like https://blueirissoftware.com/ See what cameras are compatible. Might be some Ethernet based or wifi based cameras out there that would do what you need. Keeps it all local no clouds. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Hey what's the go to software for collabing for vtubers using OBS streamlabs and Vtuber Studio?
I asume what you're refering to is https://vdo.ninja/ and https://ndi.tv/ for sharing model been most common for indie collabs. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How can you bring other modles on your screen like in the weary 101 from Takahata
Https://vdo.ninja/ I've seen people use this to share models at consistently high quality. A video call works. https://ndi.tv/ I've seem a few people use for spout2 images which are better resource wise and very decent quality. And there are a few other solutions. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What can I use to scan / receive an NDI audio input and turn it into a virtual mic for Zoom?
My church uses a popular church software called ProPresenter to mix together a live video camera feed + words and lyrics to an NDI video signal, NDI.tv has a tool that I am able to easily capture and convert the video signal into a virtual camera, but Im currently battling through figuring out how to capture the audio signal. • I Updated NDIScopes for Windows!
Hey guys! I made some further changes to my open source software that creates video scopes for a NDI stream. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Some things I've learned (adding a Mix Create to a dual pc setup)
I do not use a Video Capture Card, instead I opted to use NDI (ndi.tv) tools to transmit video over my 1gbps ethernet. I remember seeing an audio option (which I've never used), and thought...wait...this may be a perfect use-case for the new 'audience mix' output from the Mix Create Software. I was still able to use the physical 3.5mm Line from my Stream-PC to my Game-PC without interference, but disconnected... Source: over 2 years ago
