Blue Iris Reviews

  1. Terrible Experience

I have tried this software and it was the worst experience I have had. First, I had so much trouble connecting up my IP Cameras. I would error messages multiple times and the application kept crashing. Once I finally got everything up and running, I would periodically loose connection to my cameras. I had contacted customer support regarding my issues and they would never respond. There are many other better products than Blue Iris.

  • Ask HN: How have you engineered the shit out of your home's front entrance?
Engineering implies working within constraints. Most people in this realm only have to deal with the spouse acceptance factor as a limiter. Went from openhab -> homeassistant -> Node-RED. Then sprinkle in MySensors, Frigate, and Double-Take, but not on just the entrance, go for the perimeter then defense in depth. https://www.mysensors.org/ https://frigate.video/ - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

  • Frigate Website down?
I'm doing a rebuild of Home Assistant and would like to give Frigate another try. However the site frigate.video with all the documentation on it seems to be down. Today and yesterday. Does anyone else have this issue? Source: 7 months ago
