The recommendation for Logos is a good one, but take a look at Accordance as well. I find it runs a bit better and prefer it for Bible study and working with the original languages, but Logos is very capable and has a wider range of resources available. A good resource to begin to look into some of your questions regarding translation might be Accordance Bible Software. I don't know what tradition you come from, but many Seminary's have classes and professors which I've found to be an incredibly helpful resource. Source: almost 2 years ago

Hey, I'm new to python. I'm wondering, because I use text files for different bible translations in a Bible Software program called Accordance. Just wanted to mention that if you use Accordance Bible Software, you can buy the OSB notes and use them alongside the translation of your choice. The same seems to be possible with Logos. Source: over 2 years ago
