Honestly, I'm super happy that you found one voice arguable better than AWS. I might argue, though, you might get used to our voices quickly once you start using it frequently. I have two layers of filtering. Layer 1 is the "Subscription" layer like you mention. I also have a Layer 2 which is not all episodes of a Podcast are meaningful for me. Therefore, I don't listen to ALL episodes. A Podcast app like Castro is extremely beneficial in making an active decision to add a podcast to my queue [0].
