  Hey I would suggest you start looking at the website mobbin.design - It should really help you identify what modern apps are looking like. In addition it allows you to filter screens by the different elements that they contain, which is very useful when you are creating a similiar product.   3.The only way I've come across to document the amount of time spent is to use timesheets or time tracking softwares. Some examples of time tracking softwares are Toggl, Hubstaff, and Time Doctor.
