Hey I would suggest you start looking at the website mobbin.design - It should really help you identify what modern apps are looking like. In addition it allows you to filter screens by the different elements that they contain, which is very useful when you are creating a similiar product. If you are open to svg based gifs, it is so much easier. SVG is a far different image technology than bitmap. There are no issues with the ghosted edges and it will be crisp at any size. Because it is actually code and not pixels, you can even change a lot of it after it is made.
