Hey I would suggest you start looking at the website mobbin.design - It should really help you identify what modern apps are looking like. In addition it allows you to filter screens by the different elements that they contain, which is very useful when you are creating a similiar product. Firstly, I'd touch up your colour scheme to be more trustworthy. If you want a fun colour scheme and don't want to be all serious, I'd try googling for pictures of some sneakers that are fun and funky, and then upload the picture here to extract a palette from it.
