Art Text mentions (8)

  • 3D title animation - Gold Text Effect
It was created in Art Text 4 for macOS. The app has ready made typography and text effect templates for quick start, or you can go all the way and design your own and animate it afterwards. Source: 10 months ago
  • Thinking of switching from photoshop to affinity
I switch in 2014 and never went back. The learning curve is something you need to be aware of and also the fact you need to buy other apps as well. For example I have these apps accompanying my Affinity suite: Hype4, Pixelmator and Art Text plus a free app that is a Figma alternative called Penpot. Why? Because these third apps would do what Affinity can’t. With all those apps, you won’t need Adobe to survive in... Source: 11 months ago
  • Anyone know what font is this? Or some similar font which has these type of black outlines?
The black outlines and drop shadow would have been added with a vector graphics editor like Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer or Inkscape, or with a single use application like Art Text. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Gifting myself Affinity this Christmas!
Art Text (Belight Software) it’s like a magic hat for fast 3D text manipulation! Highly recommend it). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Lego Bricks Typography
Lego bricks are the most used creative kit. Now it's time for Art Text to carry that over into typography design. The Spray Fill feature of Art Text lets users arrange photo objects in such a way to form a word. As a result, the user achieves typography that looks as if created by spread-out lego bricks. • I still use Flash in 2022
Man I miss Flash too! Tumult Hype is the closest thing to it, but the editor's Mac only. https://tumult.com/hype/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Are there things that Flash did that we still can’t do with today’s web?
I keep hoping that we’ll be able to package Flash-grade animations as WASM and send them out as a single file (or as two files, one for a Haxe-like runtime and another for the game or animation). But since there is no real standard authoring tool (and nobody mentions those, or the ease of use the Flash “IDE” had) I don’t have much hope. The closest I’ve seen (and actually use) is Hype (https://tumult.com/hype/),... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

On Mac there is Hype. The earlier versions were pretty good, but I haven't used the latest. https://tumult.com/hype/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
