  • Dpreview.com is coming to an end
Check out this AI camera control module: https://witharsenal.com/ It's not something I'd use, I usually want as much creative control as possible over all the settings and RAW conversion. There are too many permutations of parameters that "correctly" capture the scene according to different aesthetic aims. The reviews of the version 2 seem to agree, that it's useful, but not for experienced photographers with... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • Are there settings apps that you can get for free? For any camera and what are they like?
I never used it and it feels like an overpriced "auto mode" to me, but it sounds like what you're looking for https://witharsenal.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • A7RV Focus Bracketing
Or you could look in to an Arsenal as I recall seeing it as an option in there too. (though, bit of a more pricey option). Source: over 1 year ago
  • i'm using the canon rp with the app for self portraits, just find out that continous shooting don't work with the app, the only option is this one, ican set it for example for 10 pics, but they are way too fast! how ca i slow it down? i want to have time to change expression/posture between the shot
But I’ve been doing some research on this lately and though I haven’t tried it, it seems like Arsenal assistant might be the thing you need. You can focus and set a timer on an app on your phone, which will give you enough time to hide the phone and pose. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Which camera has best mobile companion app?
I've used Cascable 6 and I have the Arsenal device that has a decent app. Source: over 1 year ago

  • other than eyes and lack of color(both will be added later), what can i do to make the lineart not feel off?
If you want you can goto ibispaint.com artist "bartacomus" and see videos of my art from start to finish. Source: 12 months ago
  • New Art Platforms for Artists and the death of old ones?
I'm very interested in how they'll keep AI-generated images out though. I don't think trained ML models for verifying/falsifying images as AI-generated will be that useful for very long as AI image generation models will keep improving too. More likely we'll have to resort to a 'proof of work' sort of thing which could be a mandatory speedpaint/timelapse or a straight-up automated solution like Ibispaint. Source: over 1 year ago
  • AI Art Detection Tools?
Most illustration software e.g. Photoshop or Krita have integrated or plugin-based recording functionality for that too. And then there is Ibispaint (check it out) which tracks your progress and doesn't even let you upload to the gallery on their website without the automatically generated speedpaint. • Regulating AI art will be a disaster
What we need is positive proof for hand-drawn digital paintings. Rather than innocent until proven guilty it should be guilty until proven innocent. The best possible approach would be recording the painting process in the drawing software automatically like this website for instance: https://ibispaint.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • (Discussion) On the topic of verifying digital paintings/illustrations in the age of AI image generation...
Iirc Photoshop and Krita for instance have a tool for recording integrated into their software but I've also come across the software/platform Ibispaint which automatically tracks the creation process in their software from the moment you create a new file and if you upload it to their website (which is a sort of art gallery in itself) it will automatically generate and upload a 1-minute speedpaint along with...
