Hello everyone! This is a track I've been working on with a friend who's crazy about DNB, livecoded with the TidalCycles programming framework, recorded with Ardour, and lightly edited in Audacity. - Source: Reddit / 7 days ago
No DRM is necessary ever. The simplest way is to ask for money and setup a paywall in front of the binaries as seen here. - Source: Reddit / 10 days ago
Ardour is another open source project (GPL2). It has paid binaries, but you can compile from source if you want it for free. It can do pretty much anything LMMS does + recording, but has less default instruments and samples. It is also imo a bit more annoying to set up. A great source to learn from in ardour though is unfa. In his older videos he is using LMMS, but newer ones are ardour. - Source: Reddit / 13 days ago
Other tools: Ardour (as the default DAW) Audacity (for usual editing and recording) Non-Session Manager Carla Plugin Host (Neat way to manage plugins on Linux!) Catia Patchbay (That first screenshot is from here!) Aj-snapshot (Click a snapshot of your JACK/ALSA connections, with one command!) Vcvrack (The most fun thing, ever.) Cava (Fancy sound visualization in terminal for ALSA). - Source: Reddit / 23 days ago
Too much ill-will generated with this sudden takeover of audacity. Best to move on to alternatives and forks and forget about Audacity's new owners. https://ardour.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 26 days ago
I wish ableton did not require external power source to a plug that is magically in a box that who knows what goes in that box at this point. 6volt, are you kidding me. - Source: Reddit / 11 days ago
Has anyone been having this issue? I've been using the 11 Trial for almost a month fine without issue. As of yesterday it now says it cant be authenticated upon opening, trying to connect to ableton.com to verify trial license etc, retrieving licence, but it doesn't work. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
Will transfer it to you via ableton.com. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
Hey, I've had this issue for about a week now. When I open Ableton it tries to connect to ableton.com to verify my trial license but it always fails. I get an Not Authenticated message, the program me to check my internet connection (which is fine). I've made a firewall bypass rule for the ableton trial .exe file, have tried running as Administrator, reset computer and reinstalled multiple times with no such luck. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
Lol. bruh, they (ableton.com) haven't made or sold OG pushes in years. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
