I’ve been using framer to create a website and I use ApplyPixels templates with Affinity Photo. The templates themselves haven’t been optimized for affinity photo but they work great once you enable PSD Text and PSD Smart Objects in the affinity settings under the General pane. Maybe try Bitsbox? It teaches Javascript by making games. They can share the games with their friends, and it also leaves a lot of room for them to modify the games using what they learned. It teaches a lot of programming skills that are useful later. There is also Google's CS First, that's free and has a lot of different projects.
