  • Teaching app
Check out annotate.net. They have a Chrome extension that does that. Source: 10 months ago
  • Faculty & Chromebooks: what are you missing?
We found annotate.net as a pretty good "replacement" for Smart Ink. There's a free version, "full" trial as well if you wanted to test it out. Cost is minimal for a site license in addition. We have it being used on all of our IFPs (smartboards and not) by teachers as well as some using it just on their Chromebooks for small instruction. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How to write on web browsers using Promethean software?
We signed up for annotate.net and it seems to work well on the Promethean Boards for writing over things like docs and slides. I believe it doesn't stay as an overlay like the built in board software, so I think it's good for some teachers to bring into the mix. Source: over 1 year ago

Kahoot! mentions (25)

  • Similar free computer games?
Other than educational tools like Kahoot, Quizizz, or Gimkit, there's really not much out there that's free unfortunately. Source: 11 months ago

Otherwise throw in a baamboozle, a kahoot or a word wall. Source: 12 months ago
  • I’ve been asked to teach English but I have no certifications or experience
A: These resources will be your absolute savior! islcollective.com, Teach-This.com, ESLBrains.com, Linguahouse.com, kahoot.com, plus many more. But remember to keep it appropriate for their level, or else you're in for a LONG lesson! Source: about 1 year ago
  • If you could only pick one Kahoot topic for the last day of class, what would it be?
It's very easy to make, all you have to do is make an account on kahoot.com. Unfortunately there's some features that you have to pay to use :( but the basic multiple choice quiz game is free, and that's gone over very well in my SHS classes. Source: about 1 year ago
