Take it easy. You’ve got plenty of time. I’d ditch adobe animate, although it has its benefits, and check out something like https://animationpaper.com/ and pick up Richard Williams animation survival kit and you’ll be set for a while. Hello fellow animation enthusiast. I'm curious about why you are writing a new program rather than working with the existing open source codebases of OpenToonz/Morevna/Pencil2D? (They are C++/Qt for whatever that's worth). Not to mention what Blender has accomplished with the development of the Grease Pencil module. However, I just discovered roughanimator.com and am really liking it. It is neither free (but only $6, (_per platform_)) nor powerful enough for finished product, but instead its workflow is optimized for the rough animation portion of making something. It is very much for hand drawn animation as it does not provide any transform tweening beyond a global camera scale/pan, much less rigging etc. Source: 11 months ago
