I believe that courses will help you to be more organized, since if you pay for something, then you are more invested in doing well. However, if you can motivate yourself to study, then I don't really think you need courses. These days, there are a lot of free resources like blogs and videos available. This is essentially a watered down version of the "MVC" architecture. I use http lib of node for server and requests, cheerio for webscraping and Sendinblue for sending the emails and mongodb (atlas) for storing all of the data.
